Color by Data Activity
Color by Data is an icebreaker and team-building activity where people connect in a data-and-crayon sharing operation.
Give each participant a crayon of one color and a blank sheet of paper to create a colorful picture. Tell participants that the goal is to use as many colors as possible.
People will move around the space and borrow crayons, they will be able to make exchanges with other players. For another teammate to agree to trade the crayon, people must share personal information.
For the game to be interesting and effective it is important to keep in mind that a piece of information can only be used once, each exchange of crayons requires sharing a new piece of information.
This activity spurs coworkers to cooperate and learn more about teammates in the process. It is soothing and allows teammates to relax and create together.
As an added bonus, participants will walk away from the activity with cubicle artwork!
