A glass jar full of wishes

There is a popular tradition that helps people and communities fulfill all their wishes during the coming year. Therefore, it is not strange to see at New Year’s Eve dinners how some people perform spells with a glass jar.

According to this belief, there is a time when the old year and the new year meet.

Those who know this tradition share the knowledge with those people who are sharing the last dinner of the year that is leaving. Minutes before the end of December 31, an empty glass jar is placed in the center of the table.

People are invited to write on paper the projects and wishes they hope to achieve during the next year. The papers are folded and placed inside the glass jar.

When the passing year meets the new year, it whispers the messages written on the papers in the jar to help people achieve their wishes. If tradition is true and people focus on their wishes and work to make them come true, the new year will make our destinies come true.

Minutes after midnight and the toast with loved ones, people are invited to remove their papers and treasure them.
